Dataharvest 2015 has ended
Dataharvest/EIJC, the European Investigative and Data Journalism Conference organised by Journalismfund.eu, is the most relevant networking event for investigative and data journalists in Europe. Dataharvest/EIJC15 will take place on Friday 8, Saturday 9 and Sunday morning 10 May 2015, with a pre-conference Hackaton on Thursday 7 May. Like the previous years, the conference will take place in the centre of Brussels.

Stefano Valentino


Stefano Valentino is an awarded Italian investigative, multimedia and entrepreneurial journalist based in Brussels.

He is the Founder of MobileReporter, an experimental participative content-making platform which won the Google-funded IPI News Challenge Contest 2012.

He is a specialist of green economy and holds the blog “L’Ambiente è di tutti” on the Italian largest online daily Repubblica.it, where he launched a number of environment-related collaborative projects developed through MobileReporter. 

Since 2011 his investigations on corporate lobbying pressures within the EU policy-making on climate and pollution received grants from major international grant-making foundations, including the Society for Environmental Journalism, the Fund for Investigative Journalism and the European Fund for Investigative Journalism.

He has worked as a global freelancer for the last 15 years, reporting from more than 30 countries, both as an EU and as a foreign correspondent.

His stories appeared on major international print and online publications, including the Guardian (UK), L’Express  (France/Belgium), il Sole 24 Ore (Italy), NRC Handelsblad (the Netherlands), Christian Science Monitor (USA).
