Balazs had been working as Senior Foreign News Editor at the Hungarian Public Television reporting from all over the world . Beside his journalist work he has been involved in human rights activism and set up an independent trade union in 2010. He had been fired from his job in 2011 after starting a hunger strike as a protest against news manipulation in the Hungarian public media . Balazs got the award of the International Reporter of 2012 in Italy and the Prize for the Future and Freedom of Media in Leipzig .
