Dataharvest 2015 has ended
Dataharvest/EIJC, the European Investigative and Data Journalism Conference organised by Journalismfund.eu, is the most relevant networking event for investigative and data journalists in Europe. Dataharvest/EIJC15 will take place on Friday 8, Saturday 9 and Sunday morning 10 May 2015, with a pre-conference Hackaton on Thursday 7 May. Like the previous years, the conference will take place in the centre of Brussels.

The Norwegian newspaper Aftenposten spent six months working with surveillance and the use of false cell towers in Oslo, exploring new methods of exposing the use of IMSI-catchers and other forms of equipment to monitor mobil phones. Per Anders Johansen presents their methods – and lessons learned – from a project that is now making Oslo one of the most secure cities in the world when it comes to covert and illegal mobile interception.
