Scraping and Crunching EU Commissioners' Agenda Data

Recently released data by the EU transparency initiative show the EU Commissioner's agendas - which stakeholders Commissioners met and what subjects they talked about. Of course, as with most governmental data, it is not available in machine readable format. That's why we got together during the Hackathon and scraped all of the data within a few hours. If you think that data might contain interesting leads or stories, come to our J-Lab and form action groups for further investigation.

The Journalism Lab is the place to meet, share experiences and skills and develop story ideas together. Coders, journalists, programmers and scholars alike are invited to get together here. The J-Lab runs continuously every day. You can arrange with colleagues to work on ideas or journalism methods, or you can walk in as you please and see what is going on.
